212 Steakhouse
Updated: Jun 12, 2019
212 Steakhouse is the only restaurant in NYC serving authentic Kobe beef. You're probably thinking, wait, but I've seen it on menus before! Sorry to disappoint you, Kobe beef is an extremely rare meat. Inside Edition did an investigation and discovered that many restaurants offering Kobe beef on their menu are falsely advertised and is actually serving lesser quality meat, most of which is "wangus", a hybrid of Wagyu breeds and common Angus call it Kobe.
Owner Nikolay Volper has created a lot of enticement for people wanting to dine at his restaurant by offering this hard to find meat. 212 Steakhouse is recognized for their Kobe beef, but the menu also includes Chilean Sea Bass, lobster, pasta, Australian Wagyu and more.
