Pan-Seared Filet Mignon

Make yourself a tender filet mignon for dinner in little time!

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz filet mignon

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • Salt

  • Pepper


Directions:

  1. Heat cast iron skillet on high for 3 minutes

  2. Use a paper towel to thoroughly dry the filet mignon

  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper

  4. Add 3 tbsp butter to pan

  5. Place filet in skillet and cook on one side for 2 minutes, while basting it with butter. Then flip with tongs and do the same for the other side

  6. Use tongs to move the filet from the skillet to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil for 10 minutes and then serve
