Mushroom Steak Sauce

A savory mushroom sauce enriched with butter.


Servings: 4


Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 16 oz mushrooms sliced

  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic minced

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp parsley

Directions:

  1. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a large pan over medium high heat. Add mushrooms and sprinkle with salt and pepper

  2. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until mushrooms have softened and browned. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in the flour

  3. Slowly whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens. Stir in the another 2 tbsp of butter until melted

  4. Sprinkle with parsley and pour sauce over steak
