Garlic Brown Sugar Pork Chops
Tender and juicy bone-in pork chops cooked in a garlic brown sugar sauce.

4 thick bone-in pork chops
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
Red pepper flakes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Season pork chops with salt and pepper
Heat the cast iron on medium high for 3 minutes, so that it's hot. Coat the bottom of the skillet evenly with a little olive oil
Place pork chops in the skillet. Cook each side for 2 - 3 minutes so that it's nicely seared. Remove and set aside on a plate
Using the same skillet, lower the heat to low and add butter, garlic, brown sugar, and red pepper (use as much as you like based on preference) and stir until the mixture is fully combined. Let sauce simmer until it begins to thicken
Add the pork chops back into the skillet, transfer it to the oven and bake for 8 minutes. Remove the skillet from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Sprinkle parley flakes and serve
