Honey Shrimp & Broccoli

A delicious shrimp dish is sweet and mildly spicy!

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp garlic (minced)

  • Red pepper flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and de-veined

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  1. Cook rice according to packaging

  2. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes (as much as you desire) in a bowl

  3. In a separate bowl, add shrimp with 1/3 of the sauce mixture and marinate for 30 minutes

  4. Add cornstarch to the reserved marinade, whisk and set aside

  5. Heat a skillet on high heat, add olive oil, broccoli, salt and pepper, and cook for 5 - 6 minutes.  Remove from pan and set aside

  6. Add butter to the skillet, then shrimp and marinade. Cook until the shrimp turns pink about 1 - 2 minutes on each side

  7. Add in the reserved sauce and bring to a simmer. Add broccoli and toss until heated through.  Then serve
